Gordon Hart

gh-headshot2Gordon Hart was born in Alberta, Canada to a family of dancers. His mother, Maureen Hart, was one of the original “Young Canadians” of the legendary Calgary Stampede. Gordon received the majority of his dance training from his mother, and studied at the National Ballet School of Canada as well. For seven years, Gordon competed in dance at the provincial level representing the city of Victoria, British Columbia.

His professional career in dance started early. At age 16, he performed on stage with tap legend Gregory Hines, and at 17 he was hired by Princess Cruise Lines to dance in their award winning-production shows. In 1996, Gordon was one of only two recipients of the Bob Fosse Scholarship under the supervision of Gwen Verdon, awarded to him by Paula Abdul at the American Choreography Awards.Since then, Gordon has performed in a wide range of film and television productions. In 2003, he worked on The Polar Express, translating dance to the screen in one of the first full length feature films pioneering Motion Capture technology. In 2005 he danced in and was assistant choreographer for the 57th Primetime Emmy Awards telecast. He has also worked on many other film and television shows, including Supernatural, Suddenly Susan, Weeds, Will & Grace, Mad Men, The Office, My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Muppets, Vice, and Guest Starring on Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.

Gordon is co-inventor of the Balanced Body Multifunctional Sraps and is certified in Pilates, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods, Yoga, Yoga Therapy Rx, and massage. He has eight years experience as a Physical Therapy Aide. Now he brings his unique skills and perspectives to his own practice.
